He then presented the branch’s achievements since its establishment until the end of the year 1437 AH / 2016 AD. The presentation included the amounts that were supported to the entities according to the projects and according to the governorates in the region. This was followed by a visual presentation entitled “1,300 Projects in Two Minutes,” which is a video that embodies glimpses of the projects that the Foundation supported throughout the Kingdom in the past year 1436 AH/2015 AD. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Majidel, “Assistant CEO for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Foundation,” where he participated in presenting a working paper entitled: “Glimpses on the Foundation’s grants system in light of global experiences,” in which he explained the Foundation’s support paths methodology and its stages, and the connection between that. His Excellency Engineer Talal bin Youssef Al-Suwail, a member of the Foundation’s charitable work committee in the region, also presented a working paper entitled: “Boards of Directors and their Strategic Roles in Leading Non-Profit Entities,” in which he explained the importance of the role of boards of directors in forming and activating them, their responsibilities, and the strategic roles required of them to achieve the entities’ goals. . At the meeting, the branch also hosted His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Marzouq Karsoum, “Director General of Jadarat Al-Tamayoz Office for Administrative Investments,” where he presented a working paper entitled: “Harmony and bridging between the strategic directions of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Foundation and charitable entities (an urgent need and successful experiences).” Finally, ten entities were honored for their excellence. They are distinguished entities in communicating and presenting projects in a professional and integrated manner, and in accordance with the mechanisms for obtaining the Excellence Award that is announced every year. The meeting concluded with an open dialogue with the non-profit entities, chaired by Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Mujaidel, Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Qazlan, and Mr. Sami bin Abdulaziz Zali, “Chairman of the Foundation’s Charitable Work Committee in the region,” where interesting and substantive dialogues, discussions, and inquiries took place from the attendees. At the end of the meeting, the director of the Foundation’s branch in the Medina region stated that the branch will hold specialized training workshops to train on the paths in a detailed and practical way for executives responsible for preparing projects in non-profit agencies, to enable them to prepare integrated projects according to the Foundation’s mechanisms. It is worth noting that the branch management was keen to ensure that women’s entities and branches benefit from the meeting, as a designated place was prepared for women to attend the meeting, participate and benefit.
