The first forum for private charitable institutions was launched on Tuesday, 10/4/1434 AH, under the generous patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen. On the part of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation, the Secretary-General, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah, was present. The forum began with a recitation by Sheikh Saber Abdul-Hakam, and then His Excellency the Dr. Minister of Social Affairs delivered his speech, where Al-Othaimeen stressed the importance and role of charitable institutions in supporting and developing charitable work. Pointing out that the Ministry supports charitable organizations with more than 500 million riyals annually. Al-Othaimeen also stressed his keenness to unify the efforts of charitable institutions in developing society, and in his speech he explained the ministry’s readiness to assist charitable institutions, whatever the assistance, to contribute to the advancement of the segments of society. Then broadcaster Abdul Rahman Al-Bishri concluded by giving the names of the forum’s supporters, namely Al-Jomaih Charitable Foundation and the Al-Jomaih Charitable Foundation.
