The director of the Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation branch in Jizan, Muhammad Hamad Abu Jabal, explained that the Foundation supported 113 various projects, including health, educational, advocacy, social, and mosques. Among the most prominent activities supervised by the Foundation are: - A program to sponsor needy families in cooperation with the branch of the International Symposium for Islamic Youth in the Jazan region and the Al-Bir Society in Abu Arish Governorate. The number of families included under this program reached 480 families from various parts of the region. - Sheikh Sulaiman Al Rajhi Entertainment Center, which embraces 180 orphans from the region. - The two intensive Qur’an courses at the school for women have registered 500 students in this course so far, and in the Central Mosque for men 300 students have registered. This department won first place among the Foundation’s branches in the Kingdom in a competition held by the Foundation for submitting reports and following up on the implementation of activities for several years, the last of which was last year 1433 AH. The Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation has also adopted many initiatives, the most important of which is the Financial Sustainability Fund. Among the charitable organizations that have recently received funding of this type are: Al-Bir Charitable Society in Sabya Governorate, the Charitable Society in Al-Eidabi Governorate, and Al-Bir Society in Al-Arda. Among the Foundation’s initiatives is a building center. Productive families Jana. The Jazan branch was able to provide 3,985 job opportunities within the region, and its rank is second in number, as it follows what was achieved by the main center in Dammam. The Center for Building Productive Families, Jana, won first place in achievement, which reflects the center’s activity and progress. The Foundation also sponsors many events, the most recent of which was the symposium on the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in serving the Holy Qur’an, which was held by the International Authority for the Memorization of the Holy Qur’an last month and under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Jazan Region. One of the programs provided by the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation is the maintenance of mosques and the roads leading to the Two Holy Mosques.
The branch of the Sulaiman Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation in the Eastern Province concluded the program for developing leaders of influential social change institutions, which was implemented by the Al-Nubalaa Comprehensive Training Center on Tuesday evening, 05/17/2016 AD, at the Crowne Plaza Al-Khobar Hotel.
