The director of the Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation branch in Jizan, Muhammad Hamad Abu Jabal, explained that the Foundation supported 113 various projects, including health, educational, advocacy, social, and mosques. Among the most prominent activities supervised by the Foundation are: - A program to sponsor needy families in cooperation with the branch of the International Symposium for Islamic Youth in the Jazan region and the Al-Bir Society in Abu Arish Governorate. The number of families included under this program reached 480 families from various parts of the region. - Sheikh Sulaiman Al Rajhi Entertainment Center, which embraces 180 orphans from the region. - The two intensive Qur’an courses at the school for women have registered 500 students in this course so far, and in the Central Mosque for men 300 students have registered. This department won first place among the Foundation’s branches in the Kingdom in a competition held by the Foundation for submitting reports and following up on the implementation of activities for several years, the last of which was last year 1433 AH. The Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation has also adopted many initiatives, the most important of which is the Financial Sustainability Fund. The Foundation also sponsors many events, the most recent of which was the symposium on the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in serving the Holy Qur’an, which was held by the International Authority for the Memorization of the Holy Qur’an last month and under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Jazan Region.
