Yesterday evening, Monday, January 16, 2017 AD, the second specialized workshop for the Foundation’s grants tracks “2017” was held at the Prince Sultan Center for the Disabled in Medina, organized by the branch of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation in the Medina region. Based on the keenness of non-profit organizations in the region to know the support mechanisms and updated paths in the organization, the number of participants increased to more than 70 representatives of non-profit organizations in the region in an effort to develop their projects. The branch director, Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Qazlan, praised their interest in attending the workshop and enriching it with distinctive observations and suggestions that stemmed from their interaction in reading the guides for the paths before attending and benefiting from the work papers presented, which are beneficial to the development of charitable work in the region. The workshop included a detailed explanation of the periodic project grants process, which was presented by the head of the grants department in the branch, Mr. Muhammad Saleh bin Hassan Farghal, and the researcher in the department, Mr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qunaidi, participated with him. They touched on all the aspects that benefit the participants and showed them the mechanism of applying for the track. We also explained to them what It may cause the project to be rejected, and what is the way to properly submit projects on track so that they can be accepted by the institution and supported? Then, the head of the branch’s projects department, Mr. Fahd bin Faraj Al-Ahmadi, provided a comprehensive explanation of the two tracks, “Cognitive Enrichment Projects and Distinguished Projects,” and began his talk with a word quoted from the CEO of the Foundation, Mr. Sulaiman bin Muhammad Al-Zakri, “A good project... imposes itself.” He also called on the participants to pay attention. With this word, it is the key to accepting projects, as the more distinct the project is in its content and brings benefit to society and is unique, the greater and faster its acceptance. After each paragraph, questions and inquiries were received from the participants and answered, and some good comments received from the participants were recorded to be uploaded and reported to the main center of the organization.
