Sulaiman Al Rajhi Charity signs the “Rushd Initiative” agreement to care for orphans and rehabilitate them

In a specific initiative to care for orphans, an agreement was signed between the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation and the Third Direction Office as a consulting body implementing the project, as well as the Modern Pioneering Office as a consulting body supervising the project, yesterday, Tuesday, 11/29/2016, at the Foundation’s headquarters. This came due to the interest of many community agencies in caring for orphans, and what the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation observed of the lack of specific projects interested in orphans among agencies requesting grants and their lack of coherence. The scope of the initiative was defined in a number of elements: studies and experiments for the purpose of knowing the current reality of orphans and best practices. Provided to them, comprehensiveness so that it covers all age groups of both sexes, regulations and laws so that they can be studied locally and compared internationally, education and behavior so that their care does not stop at the point of shelter and feeding, as well as partnerships and alliances so that efforts can be combined to serve this group that is dear to society in a way that benefits them. Through this scope, the initiative aims to map the situation of orphans in the Kingdom, build a platform for launching future projects, form a reference for any subsequent work related to the orphan category, as well as launch specific initiatives that contribute to the development of current projects. This was in the presence of His Excellency the CEO of the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation, Mr. Sulaiman bin Muhammad Al-Zakri, the general supervisor of the initiative, Dr. Mahmoud bin Muhammad Naqadi, the head of the initiative committee, Mr. Abdul Majeed bin Hassan Abu Aqeel, and representatives of the consulting offices, in addition to the rest of the committee members and leaders in the institution.
