In the presence of 140 families, Al Rajhi Charity and Bar Sabya honor 21 outstanding students

As part of the activities of the Sponsored Families Project of the Charitable Association in Sabya, which is sponsored by the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation, represented by its branch in Jazan, the first orientation meeting was held on Friday evening, 3/24/2017, for the sponsored families in the Jazan region, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice President of the Association, Mr. Shawqi bin Issa Athathi, and His Excellency Mr. Tawfiq. Abbas from the Sulaiman Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation. The meeting opened with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, recited by student Al-Haytham Juhali. Then the project manager, Mr. Anwar Massawi, gave a presentation on the project and explained the method of selecting the beneficiaries according to specific criteria, reviewing the activities that were implemented since the beginning of the project, which included in-kind assistance, training courses, and an educational competition, promising families. By launching various programs in the next stage, such as Ramadan Umrah, Eid clothing, in addition to in-kind assistance. Then, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Kadaf bin Ali, a member of the Association’s Board of Directors, delivered an orientation speech on the causes of livelihood and contentment, citing Qur’anic evidence and Prophetic hadiths. After that, His Excellency the Vice President of the Association, Mr. Shawqi Athathi, delivered a speech in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation for the continued support of the programs. The association indicated that this meeting witnessed the presence of 140 families from the governorates of the region, including: Sabya, Al-Shaqiq, Al-Dayer, Fifa, and Farasan, stressing that the association will continue to provide such qualitative programs to the association’s beneficiaries. After that, Mr. Tawfiq Abbas delivered a speech from the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation, in which he explained the foundation’s policy in supporting projects, extending his thanks to the Sabya Charitable Society for implementing this program and promising all those working within the activities of the Sheikh Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Endowments of their participation in the wages of these endowments in accordance with the will of the Sheikh, may God protect him. At the end of the meeting, 21 students from families who excelled academically were honored with a laptop, then the names of the winners of the educational competition were announced, which were drawn at the time, so that 17 participants received a gold set for each winner. The Foundation seeks to achieve community development in accordance with its vision, through which it seeks to pioneer charitable grants to develop society with skill and faith, by supporting social programs that contribute to community development.
