The Foundation’s branch in the Eastern Province visited the Department of Prisons Directorate in the region and Dammam Prison

Yesterday morning, Sunday 01/11/1439 AH, corresponding to 10/01/2017 AD, the head of the Grants Department, Mr. Muayyad Al-Hadban, and the researcher in the branch, Mr. Ammar Al-Ammar, visited yesterday morning, Major General Musaed Al-Ruwaili, Director of the Department of the Prisons Directorate in the Eastern Region, in the presence of Colonel Muhammad bin Mashhour, Director of the Rehabilitation and Correctional Department in the Eastern Region Prisons. Colonel Muhammad Al-Hubaishi, Director of Dammam Prison, was also visited in the presence of Captain Yousef Al-Ammar, Director of the Prisoner Affairs Department at Dammam Prison, to introduce the institution and its most important achievements and the services it provides to the third sector.

The head of the grants department at the branch of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation in the Eastern Region also presented a brief overview of the most important studies that were implemented with the support of the Foundation, and also discussed ways of cooperation between prisons in the region and Al Rajhi Charity.

At the end of each meeting, a copy of these studies was given to each party:

• A field study of inmates in correctional facilities and observation homes in the Kingdom, and the reasons for their return to them after leaving them.
• A brief field study of inmates in correctional facilities and observation homes in the Kingdom, and the reasons for their return to them after leaving them.
• Priority issues in the Dammam metropolis (Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran) in the Eastern Province.
• Funding priorities in Al-Thokbah neighborhood in Al-Khobar city in the Eastern Province, “A field study.”
