Memorandum of understanding with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu

Today, Thursday 07/05/1439 AH corresponding to 03/22/2018 AD, the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu signed a memorandum of understanding in order to contribute to supporting the non-profit sector and enable non-profit institutions to establish a deeper impact in achieving national development, at the headquarters. The Corporation was represented at the signing by the CEO, Mr. Suleiman bin Muhammad Al-Zakri, and on the Authority’s part, the Director General of Public Services, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Misnad.

The memorandum seeks to achieve the following objectives:
A- Partnership in enhancing cooperation and joint work in order to contribute to achieving national development goals in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
B- Partnership in raising the efficiency of coordination and exchanging information about development needs.
C- Enhancing the quality of work and projects in the non-profit sector and raising the efficiency of their outputs.
D- Exchanging experiences and knowledge and enhancing communication between the two parties.

The memorandum also included cooperation and joint work in the following areas:

  • Capacity building and empowerment programs for the charitable sector.
  • Strategic initiatives by both parties.
  • Rehabilitation and human development programs.
  • Sponsoring programs, activities and forums.
  • Identify community needs.
  • Development projects and programmes.
  • Measuring the societal impact and return on investment.
  • Participate in directing support to charitable organizations and their projects.


The work on this memorandum is focused on Jubail Industrial City. This comes within the Foundation’s mission to provide grants to maximize goodness, achieve community growth, and empower beneficiaries with the best practices through community partnerships to advance non-profit organizations.

Rakeen Consulting and Capacity Building Company, in partnership with the branch of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation in the Northern Border Region, held a workshop entitled “Assessing the Institutional Capabilities of Non-Profit Organizations in the Northern Border Region,” yesterday, Monday, 2/6/2017, at the headquarters of the Cooperative Office for Call and Guidance.
