On Saturday 1/19/1435 AH, the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation, represented by its branch in the Medina region, organized a meeting for all members of the charitable work committees affiliated with the Foundation’s branches in the regions of the Kingdom, in the presence of the Secretary General Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Rajhi, the CEO of the Foundation, Mr. Sulaiman Al Zakri, and the heads and members of the work committees. Charitable.
It is noteworthy that the charitable work committees affiliated with the Foundation’s branches in the regions of the Kingdom are advisory committees composed of individuals with experience in charitable work in each region, and they study the needs of the region and the requests submitted by charitable organizations in the region to support their projects and approve what is consistent with the Foundation’s goals, plans, controls, standards and priorities. And submit appropriate recommendations to the competent authority regarding them.
The meeting was aimed at unifying the work of the charitable work committees, and updating the charitable work committees on developments in the Foundation’s approach towards non-traditional granting patterns, and the features of the Foundation’s new strategic plan, in addition to exchanging experiences and communication between members.
The meeting continued over two sessions, extending from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., and the first session included three working papers under the following titles: “Giving trends in the Foundation,” and “An introductory overview of the strategic plan of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation,” in addition to “ Charitable work committees, their organizational regulations and tasks.
While the working papers of the second session included the experiences of some charitable work committees in the regions, through three working papers in the following titles: establishing an intermediary institution to measure impact, the priority of funding for charitable works in the Medina region, qualifying the leaders of local bodies in the Asir region, in addition to a session of discussions, dialogues and questions, The meeting concluded with a closing speech by His Excellency the CEO and an open meeting.
