The ceremony began with a recitation from the Book of God Almighty, followed by a speech by the Director of the Foundation’s branch in Jazan, Mr. Ahmed Johari, during which he welcomed the attendees. He also reviewed the branch’s achievements in cooperation with the agencies implementing the projects, explaining that “212,823 beneficiaries” benefited from the total supported projects, which amounted to 136 projects that varied between social, advocacy, endowment, and development. In addition to the mosques, he also explained that the number of entities registered in the Manah system for registering non-profit entities is 99 entities from the Jazan region, indicating that this achievement is due to the complementary relationship between the Foundation and the non-profit entities and with the support and cooperation of the official authorities, pointing to the grant paths that It was approved last year, which represents a qualitative leap in the continuous development of the institution to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
This was followed by a visual presentation of the 53 housing units that were established in the region, distributed among the governorates of the region according to need and in coordination with the associations in those governorates. In another visual presentation, examples of projects supported by the Foundation in various regions of the Kingdom were reviewed, bringing the number of supported projects to 1,300 projects in 140 cities. And villages in 13 regions. The grant tracks and their mechanisms were also reviewed, which are the regular projects track, the distinguished projects track, the capacity building projects track, the social investment projects track, the projects track for establishing independent entities, the track for projects for establishing affiliated entities, the track for granting knowledge enrichment projects.

At the end of the meeting, the door was opened for discussion and dialogue, which was characterized by transparency and clarity based on the Foundation’s values. It covered many topics related to grants and its paths, in addition to some interventions that raised the issue. The representative of the branch of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Mr. Khaled Maafa, also intervened, praising the Sulaiman Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation and its pioneering role.
