The Undersecretary of the Emirate of Al-Jawf Region, Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Sheikh, opened the Center for Building Productive Families “Jana” - one of the initiatives of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation - in the Al-Jawf Region.
The Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, Mr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Khamis, explained that the Center aims to support small projects, learn about how to develop these projects for women who wish to start small projects, obtain loans on easy terms without interest, and provide consulting services for those wishing to start the project, in addition to Giving women who are able to work and become self-reliant an opportunity, as well as instilling a culture of production among women in society.
Al-Khamis stated that the number of female clients of the center in the Al-Jawf region reached more than 1,300 beneficiaries, while the total loans provided amounted to “6,952,000” riyals. He pointed out that the repayment rate in the project at the Kingdom level reached 99%, while the same percentage in Al-Jawf reached 100%, which encourages... The program has increased and diversified, and the percentage of winning projects has reached 92%, according to studies.
The ceremony was attended by the director of the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Da’wah and Guidance in the Al-Jawf region, the director of the branch of the Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation in Al-Jawf, Sheikh Ali Al-Abdali, the director general of the branch of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al-Subaie, the Vice Dean of Al-Jouf University, Dr. Nayef bin Saleh Al-Muaiqel, and the directors of departments.
