Yesterday morning, Monday, 1/30/2017, Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Qazlan, director of the branch and head of the Grants Department, Mr. Muhammad Saleh bin Hassan Farghal, met at the headquarters of the branch of the Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation in the Medina region, in the presence of members of the Charitable Work Committee in the region, Engineer Talal Al-Suwayil and Dr. Ismail Nazari, to prepare for project submission periods and set parameters that help make optimal use of the organization’s resources. The Sulaiman Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation was keen to ensure that its services include all non-profit organizations in various regions of the Kingdom, as well as the importance of improving projects and taking into account the logic of the budgets estimated for them, and in view of the necessity of adhering to what is stated in the manual of controls and general policies for grants in the institution and the instruction manual for the process of granting periodic projects, it has The Charitable Work Committee in the Medina region deemed it appropriate to inform the non-profit bodies in the region of a number of recommendations, the consideration of which when submitting projects will have an impact on the comparison between them when studied by the committee, which are as follows: 1- Focus on basic services and items when presenting a consumer project, such as : A food basket, clothing, and the like. 2-The importance of having a classification for the beneficiaries of the entity’s services, “Category A, Category B, Category C” according to the severity of the need and the priority of providing support to them, and indicating that in the project. 3- Ensure to reduce costs and exclude luxury items, such as: gifts, parties, and the like, to cover the largest number of final beneficiaries. 4-The importance of coordination in implementing projects between similar entities that serve one geographical area. 5- Covering parts of the project costs by taking advantage of public resources in the community, whether by government agencies such as halls and public facilities, or as a matter of social responsibility for commercial entities. 6- The percentage of achieving the project evaluation criteria mentioned in the instruction manual for the periodic project granting process, which are: “quality of the project, general goal, programs, outputs, realistic costs, follow-up, and volunteer participation.” The Director of the Medina Region Branch, Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Qazlan, confirmed that, God willing, these points will be taken into account in the comparison between all projects when studying them, noting that the application period for this year 1438 AH/2017 AD is available from Wednesday, corresponding to 05/04/1438 AH, corresponding to 02/01/2017 AD. Until Sunday 01/11/1439 AH corresponding to 10/01/2017 AD, provided that the project implementation start date is at least two months after the submission date.
